In addition to constant onward training in criminal law and fiscal law, I have had intensive training in the areas of
- interrogation techniques and tactics,
- psychology of negotiation,
- guiding interviews
- and rhetoric
which has given me the skills I need to achieve the best possible result for my clients in trial and interrogation situations.
Being responsive to the person I am talking to
I consider my special strength to be my ability to respond with sensitivity to my interlocutor and to understand his point of view. This is extremely important if the most effective legal resources are to be selected and appointed, to ensure that the best interests of the client are represented.
Often this includes the crucial preparatory work needed for the charge to be discreetly withdrawn, or to work out the best possible outcome in the main hearing.
Alternative and complementary: Mediation
Instigated by my many years experience of solving all kinds of conflict through negotiation, I went on to further training in mediation, or solving conflict outside the courtroom.
